Not a real train but you have to admire it.

Situated at the side of the A66 road at Darlington this sculpture is a very good representation of an A4 class locomotive, Mallard is an A4.
For the technically minded it was completed in 1997 and comprises 181,500 bricks, the smoke is 6.4metres wide and 7.0 metres high.
The whole sculpture is just over 40 metres long. The train is 2.3 metres wide and 4.4 high and weighs an astonishing 1500 tonnes.
There is a footpath leading around the sculpture and up to the top of the locomotive at the back where there is a viewing platform.
