A massive 2-10-4 steam locomotive that NOTHING in Europe could ever match. This machine reeked of pure power. It was leased by Southern Rwy. for awhile to operate on it's Steam Program. It was originally used in the plains of Texas hauling heavy freights for the T&P. She was displayed in Texas and in 1975 was restored to pull the American Freedom Train through Texas. Once her AFT duties were completed, she was leased by the Southern to run on rail throughout the Southeast USA. So brutish, yet so beautiful!
