4965 Rood Ashton Hall at Crewe in 2003

Helping with the excursions from Crewe to Chesteron the 31st May 2003 GWR Hall class 4965 Rood Ashton Hall is standing at Crewe station.
4965 was built at Swindon in 1931 and preserved in 1970. She is in the last few months of her "ticket" before being withdrawn for overhaul at Tyseley in Birmingham.
Prior to restoration beginning, this was thought to be 4983 Albert Hall. Restoration work discovered it to consist of more parts of 4965 Rood Ashton Hall than 4983.
