That would be the late Bill Hoole (note the spelling), who is celebrated on a web site of his own.

I have my Memories of Bill that a good few more I knew at TOP SHED have, and to have Bill Hoole call me a Fireman was praise indeed. I thank you for drawing my attention to his Web Site it is good of you. I am very lucky to have been on the Footplate of no7 with a Great Engineman. I have a recording of I think one of Bill's last trips King+ to Doncaster 1958 recording made on the Footplate (Anyone out there interested?)
