Old Gates-Modern Train

ex-Glasgow Central 156/158 DMU sporting it's politically contrived '2009 Homecoming' livery , is about to cross Holywood LC near Dumfries. These gates are still manually operated by the signalman inside the box , by turning the big wheel , with no sign of modern lights , sirens or automatic barriers. Fantastic to see this again.

Comments:
Certainly not many of these left. The livery is being applied to most if not all of ScotRail's stock including I believe the former Passenger Transport sponsored units.

There are no more 156's with the Strathclyde Passenger Transport 'carmine & cream' livery. All scotrail rolling stock will have the saltire livery eventually.
