Metropolitan 1I think this is the same steam locomotive as
picture #7694. The Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T E Class no. 1, built between 1896 and 1901. Nowadays she can be found restored and in working order at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, a railway museum operated by the Quainton Railway Society Ltd, which is where I presume this photo was taken.
