Last Chance

BR Brittania pacific 70038 Robin Hood (minus nameplates) replaced a failed diesel on 15 June 1967 on an express to Edinburgh. Although I had no ticket I took a chance and travelled behind it all the way and got back to Carlisle without getting caught. Guess I owe British Rail about £6

You would hardly get to the end of the platform for 6 quid nowadays!! Looks very timeless with the blue and grey looking like the old Blood and Custard coaches. Great shot

Hi Paul.
This was taken with an old Kodak instamatic that took the cartridge film. I was 17 at the time and could only afford black and white film

Nothing wrong with Instamatics. Some of my best stuff was on that and a Brownie Cresta 3......
