Current info suggests that she is at Shillingstone and sadly still awaiting restoration as are so many treasures like her.
The problem with 9F's is that they are too large for most of our heritage lines so can only be run in a very few places. Network Rail have refused to have one run on the big railway because of likely damage to the track.

Can't see how they could do that. They ran on BR for long enough. But, I'm no expert.........

Network Rail perceive problems with the unflanged middle driving wheels on the raised checkrails of modern high speed pointwork.

Don't hold your breath but....
It is just possible that North Yorks new 9f might just be allowed on the big railway.
There are none of the offending point check rails between Whitby and Battersby so it could, in theory, run from Pickering to Whitby and then Battersby. Sadly that's it though.
We watch with interest.
