It's cold out here

D8233 BTH type 1 (class 15) stands in light snow outside Hornsey Depot on 28 December 1968. This loco was recently fired up again by the class 15 preservation society I believe.

Saturday 19th June 2010 at about 11am was the date and time East Lancs Railway I believe was the place.
She was started twice the second, as you might expect, was easier than the first.
There is still much to do however before she is back to running condition.

Blast from the past there!! It's amazing the variety of diesel loco types at one time. The downfall of the very quickly implemented dieselisation of BR really. would definitely been better to wait and maybe have gone straight from steam to electrification in a more phased fashion than was done.
